Lynn Bennett

Lynn Bennett, husband of artist Mary Alice Bennett, was born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. He graduated from Warner Robins High School and earned a BBA from Valdosta State University in 1969.

Lynn spent many years in banking in Macon and Savannah before opening his Allstate Insurance Agency in Hinesville in 1990. He later opened an agency in Jesup, which he sold in 2015, and sold his Hinesville agency to his son, Andy Bennett, in 2016 before retiring.

Throughout his life, Lynn has been active in civic service. He was a member of the Richmond Hill Exchange Club from 1990 to 2016, the Statesboro Kiwanis Club from 2016 to 2025, and now serves as Treasurer of the Liberty County Kiwanis Club.

While Lynn happily admits he does not have “a single art bone in his body,” he deeply appreciates and enjoys all forms of art. His support for Mary Alice and his involvement in the community make him a valued part of the Liberty County Melting Pot of Art family.
